Overwatch: How to Aim Better?

By: Admin

Overwatch is a game where you aiming skill matters. If the accuracy of your attacks is high you have better performance and you have higher chances of winning. This guide will tell you how to aim better in Overwatch.

Mouse is Important

Mouse is what you need to begin with. First of all pay attention to the mouse you are using. If you play the game with simple office wireless device get rid of it as soon as possible. Simple wireless devices are usually slow and don’t react fast. They are also too heavy to move them fast. You need a good mouse if you want to achieve high accuracy.

I don’t mean you need Razer or Steel Series device. No, you are not a pro gamer. You can just but an average mouse for gamers. Just make sure it’s not wireless and it must react fast.

Mouse Speed

Now it’s time to adjust speed of your mouse. Many players think that if they set high values of horizontal and vertical sensitivity they will be playing better. But that’s wrong. I recommend to set the values you are comfortable with. Some people prefer to have higher sensitivity, others want their mouse to be less sensitive. Just don’t set high values because you think it will improve your performance!

Reaction Training

Now you have tweaked the mouse and it’s time to train your reaction. Overwatch is dynamic game and if you want to dominate you have to act faster than your opponent. Fortunately it’s possible to train your reaction and aiming speed.   Here is a list of websites that will help you to train:

Aim Booster (http://www.aimbooster.com/)

On my opinion this website is #1. It allows to train in several modes. You can train your speed, precision, sniper skills, reaction and so on. Visit this website and try it. All the modes are free there and all you need is about 20 minutes of free time every day. Just make sure you train regularly and you will see the result.

Reaction Time Tester (http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/reactiontime)

This is a simple test of your overall reaction. The rules are simple: you see a red screen and when it turns green you need to click mouse button as fast as you can. Having 200 – 240 ms reaction time is great. If your time is higher try to improve it by training.

Shoot (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/shoot)

Shoot is another perfect trainer of your overall combat performance. It is a simulator of your aim movements. The aim appears in different areas and you need to shot is as fast and accurate as possible. Perfect tool for training.

Now you have all the tools for improving your aiming skills. All you need is 20 minutes of free time a day to pay attention to training. Train regularly and you will see the growth of your performance in Overwatch.
