Tactician’s Authority is one of gear sets in The Division. It’s orientated for playing support role. It boosts your skill power a lot. If you wish to play as a healer you should definitely try this set.
The amount of bonuses you unlock depends on the amount of pieces you wear. There are 3 good bonuses and you unlock the first when you equip 2 pieces, second at 3 pieces and third at 4 pieces. As you see you don’t need to collect full set of 6 parts in order to reach best bonuses. 4 items is enough.
The list below shows which bonuses you can unlock:
Tactician’s Authority talent is the reason why you may want to go with this set. The talent increases your skill power depending on damage your group deals. The more damage your allies deal the higher boost you receive. Maximum boost is +100% skill power.
As you see it’s a very huge bonus. If you are focusing on using skills this set is worth trying. Keep in mind that it also gives +20% Skill Haste and thus you will be able to use your powers more often.
The only disadvantage is that the amount of bonus you receive depends on your team. The better your allies perform the more Skill Power you gain. Thus your bonus depends on how well you and your allies play and on what gear they have. If your group can output high damage you will be in good shape.
We can recommend to start collecting Tactician’s Authority Gear Set from visiting Special Gear Vendor. If you are lucky enough you will be able to buy several blueprints for crafting. It will cost you 300-400 Phoenix Credits per each blueprint. As you know crafting items is usually much better than looting.
There are other sources of getting set pieces: you can find them in bosses’ drops, you can find them in supply drops in Dark Zone, you can purchase them from vendors and so on. Farming Incursions at challenge difficulty is one of the best ways of receiving Tactician’s Authority set items. Read our “How to beat Incursions?” guide in order to increase your chances of winning.
