Blade and Soul Forgekeepers: Progression and Gold Farming

Forgekeepers  is one of crafting professions in Blade and Soul. It is similar to blacksmithing in other MMO games. It allows to create different weapons and repair tools for recovering gear durability.

The best gathering specializations for this profession are:  Prospector's Union and Stonecutters.  Prospector's Union will supply you with common ores: Copper, Iron ore and Cold Iron Ore. Stonecutters will give you access to rare stones:Grindstone, Warmrock and Porestone.

Benefits

In most MMO games crafting weapon is a good profession. But in Blade and Soul the situation is slightly different. In general creating weapons for own use is not the best idea. That’s because you will have to upgrade the items a lot. Upgrading is not cheap and it’s usually easier to find gear in loot than to craft and upgrade it.

But blacksmithing is not useless. Repair Tools is what you may need the profession for. As you know your items and gear lose durability when you fight. Repair tools allow repairing items. They are useful at both early and late stages of the game despite on the fact that high level items have more durability. You will always need repair tools to keep your gear in perfect shape. That’s why blacksmithing is rather useful for leveling.

Repair Tools

Farming gold with Forgekeepers

You can make money by crafting and selling lots of Repair Tools. Other players also have items and wish to keep them in good shape… But you will not be able to get rich fast. You can also sell the tools to your guild and earn gold. The profession is not so good for money making because Repair Tools is the only source of income. Moreover, a player can purchase similar tools from vendors. As you see the profession doesn’t produce unique items.

Weapon created by Blacksmiths is not easy to sell. Players usually get their gear from quests and from mobs. That’s why crafting weapons for sale is not the best way to earn gold.

How to Join?

Forgekeepers’ guild house is located in Jadestone Village. Visit the village and find Jang Mugak NPC. He is easy to find. Open map of Jadestone Village and the guildhouse will be marked there.  Talk to NPC and accept his offer.

How to leave Forgekeepers? It’s easy. Open your blacksmithing interface and fing “Leave Guild” button at the top part of the window. Pay attention: if you leave the guild all the progress will be lost. You will lose all the experience you have already earned. If you join the guild later on you will have to start from lowest stage.

“I can’t leave Forgekeepers! What to do?” This question is usually asked when player has active order and wishes to leave guild. If “Leave Guild” button doesn’t work you have active order. Wait until it’s finished or cancel it and then try to leave again/
