The Division: Reasons to Have Multiple Characters

As you know you can have up to 4 different characters in The Division. What for? The obvious answers are for trying different playstyles and for playing with your friends if they join the game later. But there are more reasons for having multiple characters in The Division. And these reasons are about increasing progression speed and having more fun.

Phoenix Credits

Phoenix Credits is one of the most important currencies in The Division. It’s late-game currency that is used for purchasing high-end items and blueprints. This currency is must have if you wish to have the best gear and the best blueprints for crafting. If you know nothing about this read: The Division Phoenix Credits: Farming and Tips. The reason for having multiple characters is that you can farm this currency much faster!

Phoenix credits are account wide and are shared between characters. That means you can farm them with all top level characters and use it for your main. That’s a pretty good way to max out one of your characters very fast.

How to farm? The fastest way is to complete daily missions. Daily missions give pretty good amount of PC and if you complete all the missions with 3 characters you will get 3 times more credits for this. Repeat this every day and you will be able to receive a lot of Phoenix Credits fast.

Multiple Characters

This strategy will require all you characters to be level 30. This may seem a difficult task to advance all of them to 30th level, but it’s not very difficult. The rewards you will get for this is much higher than leveling efforts. The fastest way to advance your alts is to ask a high-level friend for help. Ask him to take your low-level hero in a team and to complete some high-level missions. This will boost your low-level character very fast.

Stash

Stash in Base of Operations is pretty small and it’s not comfortable to use. You can accidently deconstruct something you didn’t want to. But there is a way to save loot. You can store it in the backpack of your second character. Thus you don’t worry about losing high end gear you probably need for the future. The more characters you have the more backpacks you can use :)

Rogue Rush

You can go rogue without losing DZ rank on your main character. All you need for this is to transfer all the best gear you don’t want to lose to another character. Now you can have fun. You can enter Dark Zone and go rogue anytime. It’s pretty fun to kill other players and fight against everyone. You can go rogue against groups of players and other agents without risk of losing cool stuff and Dark Zone Rank.

Why you should try this playstyle? This will help you to understand how to fight against multiple enemies without support and this will also bring a lot of positive emotions. Who knows, maybe going rogue solo will become your favorite playstyle? :) By the way, there is an article telling about how to build character for playing alone:  Best Build for Playing The Division Solo. Read it in order to understand what you need to pay attention to in order to be solo survivor.
