Tom Clancy's The Division Beginner Tips
Alright hey guys my name is Sunwind and welcometo another Division video. Now this video will focus on a few begginertips. Keep in mind that all of this is based on patch notes and on the beta. The information i will use in this video hasbeen gathered by a lot of people and you can check all of them in the discription. Withouttheir dedication to the game, this video would be impossible to make. There will be follow up videos with additionalguides. Before we begin let me just tell you thati am sure that ive missed a lot of tips and tricks so if you know any i didnt list, besure to leave a comment below! I want to thank J04DAN who put together allof these begginer tips on reddit: The first ones are PC exclusive im afraid. You have the option of making going aroundcorners a button press instead of holding down the key.
THis will help you avoid accidentalmovements when you are under fire. You also have the option to map each grenadeto a different key and you should do that- it helps a lot. You can also map all the foods and drinksto different keys too which reminds me that these restock at the reward vendor in Baseof Operations so make sure you get them every time you are there.
Theywere free in the Beta, they might be free in the full game too. I would recommend keybinding at least Water,Soda, Incendiary Bullets and Explosive Bullets. You can mark items in your inventory as junkand doing this will allow you sell them all at once or deconstruct them for crafting materials. You can fast travel to any of your party members as long as they are not in combat.Do not ever aim at citizens that are walking towards you- this will scare them and youwont be able to give them food/water.
Most of the time they reward you with a cosmeticitem. Emotes on PC are unbound by default but youcan bind every single one to a different key. Now here are some things that will not becarrying over from the beta. Huge thanks to aGreatGambino on reddit for compiling thislist.
You do not start as level 4 and you do notstart in Manhattan. According to a discord user Great Zero the chopper that lands youin the beta comes from The Jersey side. Other sources tell that we start in Brooklyn. We really dont know and perhaps its best not to spoil it. The Dark Zone vendor in the beta was purposelygiven good quality items. These will not be so easily obtainable in the full game. A lotof the high end gear will come from crafting. Cosmetic items are account wide so thats prettycool! Discord user Roelosaurus shared an interesting point- You can make multiple characters andthey will start with diff cosmetic items so you can have all of them even before campHudson.
The full game will have 3 different colorblindsettings, not very familiar how these work as I dont suffer from such conditions butits a nice option to have. Console versions of the game will be ableto adjust graphic settings to improve frame rate. You'll be able to choose Performance,or Visual Fidelity There will be a sorting system for the inventoryconfirmed by IGN and patch notes That about covers it for this video, i willbe releasing a leveling video later today so stay tuned for that.
